Stranger Things......

Cult viewing is compulsive and addictive! When you've finished that all important finale of a season and mourned the loss of it from your sofa - what do you do!!?

.... You find another!

Recently the top of the list for most has been Stranger Things (Netflix). Its 8 - yes only 8 episodes have blown everyone away! Instantly securing it's place as a cult TV show. Already commissioned for another season and eagerly waited by all.

But what is it about it that made us all love it so much? Yes, the Nostalgia! But wait, it's a new thing isn't it? It's not made in the 80's ..... But it perfectly captures the essence of 80's film and TV and the 'feel' of the 80's. The perfect formula for an 80's movie has been recreated for us all to love and whats more we've not seen this before! I mean how many times have we all watched E.T, The Goonies, Aliens, Stand By Me, DARRYL, Poltergeist? So for all of us who love this genre its given us that something new to get our nostalgic loving teeth into. As well as the magic childhood memories thrown in such as Dungeons & Dragons - Walkie Talkies - Tape Deck Stereos and Chocolate Pudding ..... in a tin!

So since the 80's its been a fair number of years to wait for something new and I feel thats whats instantly gotten people talking about this and loving it. Of course, apart from the 'nostalgia'... it had to have a decent plot, characters and a future otherwise why would we invest so heavily into it. At least we don't have to wait 30 odd years on a new season- word is its going to be with us by next year.... so until then what will we do?

Well, a lot of folk have been getting pen or pencil to paper and sketching, painting or creating Art based on Stranger Things and its characters. Namely one of the lead characters Eleven - *spoiler alert* (shhh shes still around isn't she?) Feel free to discuss and comment below!
